BASIC FLIGHT PHYSICAL $85 - Basic flight physical does not include any additional work by the AME or additional testing. If you have any chronic health problems expect additional fees. See below pricing for additional AME services required by FAA to medically certify airmen with chronic medical problems.
AME Assisted Special Issuance (AASI): $ 115
AME PERFORMED FAA CARDIOVASCULAR EXAM $75-135
AME Assisted Special Issuance: Required by FAA for certain chronic medical conditions such as:
- thyroid problems
- asthma / COPD
- atrial fibrillation / PSVT / heart arrhythmias
- heart disease - angina / stents / bypass
- sleep apnea
- migraine headaches
- history of cancer
- heart valve problems / valve replacement
- some other chronic medical problems
AME Assisted Special Issuances may require several hours to several days to complete and process through the FAA.
Hypertension: "AME Assisted Special Issuance" is not required for high blood pressure alone, however it is required that you have within the last 90 days the following performed:
- EKG: $45
- Venipuncture $11.25
- Basic Metabolic Panel $33.75
- Cholesterol Panel $37.50
- AME Performed FAA Cardiovascular Exam $75
